About Char Dham:-
“Char Dham” includes the names of four pilgrims of Uttarakhand named: Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri. It is considered highly scared by Hindus to visit chardham once in their life.

Historical Description:-
Kedarnath: - The Land of a great lord Shiva. The whole land of Kedarnath is devoted to Lord Shiva and Pandav. According to myths, after the battle of Mahabharat the Pandav decided to move to the Himalaya to please Lord Shiva and to acquire “Mokhsh”. But Lord Shiva was not so happy with Pandav and so, Bholenath did not want to give “Darshan” means he did not want come in front of The Pandavaas and that was necessary to acquire “Moksh”. Shiva transforms himself into Buffalo. But Bheem recognized lord Shiva and hold his feets immediately when Lord shiva was going to disappear. Also, according to Hindu mythology, Pandav builds the Kedarnath Temple. Keepsakes can also be seen at present.
Best Time to visit Kedarnath: - summer is the best period to visit Kedarnath. April to May and September-October is the best for safety purpose also.
Places to visit in Kedarnath Area:-
Guptakkashi:- One the beautiful destinations in Uttarakhand. Well- known for Kashi-vishwanath Temple and also for saving life of lots of people affected during fluid in Kedarnath. Situated just in middle of mountains looks like “Lotus”. The night view of Ukhimath located in front of Guptakashi is just outstanding the city lights give the shape of “Shiv-ling”.
Triyugi Narayan:- The place where Lord “Shiva” and Goddess “Parvati” tied in a knot. “Vivah-Sthal” (marriage place) of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvti.
Ukhimath:- The place where the grandson of lord Krishna “Anirudh” and daughter of Banasur great devotee of lord shiva. Also, in winters the idols of Kedarnath and Madmaheshwar braught to the ukhimath and worshiped there for six months.

Badrinath: - The Badrinath region is referred to as Badari or Badarikaashram (बदरिकाश्रम) in Hindu culture. It is a place blessed to Vishnu, mainly in Vishnu's other form of Nara-Narayana. Badrinath is situated in the banks of holly river Alaknanda. One myth has it that when the holly river Ganga was solic to move down to earth to help out suffering humankind, the earth was not capable to endure the force of her fall. Therefore the holly Ganga (Ganges) was tear into twelve holy streams, with Alaknanda one of them.

Gangotri: - Gangotri, the source of the holly river Ganges and place of the goddess Ganga, is one of the four dham in the Chota Char Dham pilgrimage tour. Gurkha general “Amar Singh Thapa” developed the original Ganga temple. The holly river is called as Bhagirathi at the origin Ganotri and got the name Ganga (the Ganges) from Devprayag onwards where it meets the Alaknanda. Gaumukh is the origin of holly river Ganga, which set in the Gangotri Glacier, and is a 19 km far from Gangotri.

Yamunotri:- Yamunotri, the source of the holly river Yamuna and the place of the divinity Yamuna in Hinduism. It is located at an elevation of 3,293 metres (10,804 ft) in the Garhwal Himalayas and placed approx 30 kilometers (19 mi) North of Uttarkashi, the head office of the Uttarkashi region in the Garhwal Division of Uttarakhand, India. It is one of the four dhams in India's Chhota Char Dham pilgrimage. The blessed shrine of Yamunotri, origin of the holly river Yamuna, is the westward shrine in the Garhwal Himalayas, Poonch Parvat. The main attraction at Yamunotri is the shrine dedicated to the divinity Yamuna and the holy warm springs at Janki Chatti.
